When you are a parent you have two choices; either laugh at the situation, or hide.
(Just don't let the kids see you laugh.)

Company Girl Coffee
Happy Friday ladies. Grab a cup of your favorite beverage and settle down. What are you enjoying and where are you settled? Anyone able to sit outside and enjoy a warm summer breeze? (he he, in our neighborhood we enjoy a warm summer wind.)
Everyone is probably busy preparing for the weekend's festivities. What are you doing this weekend; heading out of town, hosting a party, heading to the local parade, and/or enjoying the fireworks? We will be spending the day with my parents.
Does it make sense to be heading to a house with no A/C in the middle of summer? Thankfully they have a pool. And, truth be told the house does not get that hot (unless it is 90+ degrees outside.) The house is pre-Revolutionary, back then they knew how to build a house to stand against the elements.
So guess what I've been up to these past few weeks? he,he.
The kitchen is painted, yeah! And I am slowly working on the trim. The past two weeks I've been painting door frames as Hubby takes down each door to paint. This week the boys headed to camp, ED for the beginning of the week with his grandfather and cousin. JT headed out on Wednesday.
Ahs. What is a Mom to do? Does anyone with conflict with sending their children to camp.
I'm always excited to send them to camp, but then when I drop them off I leave with apprehension and worries. Maybe it is just me? Last year Hubby took JT to camp, I didn't worry near as much. This year I dropped him off. After leaving I second guessed and reworded everything I said to the counselors. With JT's recent ADHD diagnosis it is nice to give a name to his behavior. However, we are still figuring out what that means and how to work with it, making it a little hard to explain it to others.
With all that said it is time to set down my coffee cup and feed some hungry munchkins. Since you are settled, head back over to Rachel Anne @ Home Sanctuary and enjoy some more Company Girl Coffee.
Hope everyone enjoys their weekend and spending it with friends and family

I worry about the kids when they're not in my sight. haha
Hope you will have a fun weekend.
My son went to camp for the first time last year and I though I would die! They actually brought him home after the 2nd day because he was so homesick he made himself sick!
I left my daughter with my parents last month for what was supposed to be 2 nights....she lasted one!
Needless to say....we don't do too well with camps!
Happy 4th of July to you and yours!
How great to have the kitchen painted! Want to come do mine? :)
Have a wonderful weekend!!
My oldest is going to camp on Monday. She will return on Friday only to leave the following day for a two week Ballet camp. This is all going to be very interesting! I hope we make it :)
We will be spending the 4th with our church family on the farm of one our members. They have everyone over every 4th of July. The kids have a great time. We big people do to...it's just so hot in MS. (I'm whining) Also I will spend all my time chasing the 3 year old and 18 month old. (I'm whining again) It'll be great!
Hope you have a great 4th!
Aww I wish I could send my oldest to camp - but I would be worried sick the whole time. We have a severe peanut allergy to worry about, so I don't think it will ever happen here.
Our 4th holiday will be low brow too - I am shooting a wedding so the boys are on their own.
Thanks for the coffee!
D
Happy 4th to you! Sounds like you have a great plan.... my husband and I are weird about holidays... we run so long so hard as business owners that a day off is rare. Today is a day off!
He is napping, I am reading.... later we are grilling and later later... watching Pride and Prejudice for part of the challenge. :)
Okay...I guess I'm a bad mom because I wish one of my teens would GO to camp! hehe.....and I've been trying to find the time and energy to do the trim in my house for three years!
