Goin' On A Bear Hunt!

Well, this week our household has been hunting, but not for bears. Here is a sampling of the hunting talk going on in our household.

Hunting Sippy Cups
Yep, sippy cup s and plastic mugs. I was collecting items for the local thrift store, including not used anymore but in good shape sippy cups and mugs. Well, when the kids discovered what was hidden at the bottom of those bags sitting in Mommy's bedroom they were none too happy at losing these prized, yet never used, possessions.
To be clear, the kids did not go digging in the bags. The bags had sat there for awhile, and at some point Hubby tripped over them early one morning, in the dark, while getting ready for work. Over time, because I left them sitting and Hubby kept tripping over the bags, out came the cups.

So the kids, knowing that these prized possessions were destined for the thrift store hid them while I was taking a shower. They then drew me a map, they like playing pirates, which showed where the items were hidden.

Don't think I've found them all yet. Thankfully (for them) their map was not drawn to scale.

Hunting Chickens
One evening ED asked what were were having for dinner, I replied "chicken".

ED: We need to thank all the chicken hunters that go out and hunt down chickens so we can eat them.

Disclaimer: We live in a poultry producing area. A day does not go by when the kids see a truck filled with chickens go down the road (when EM calls out "Chicken Truck.) They know chicken comes from the farm, heads to the factory, and then the grocery store.

Hunting Oranges
Yes, you read that correctly. The other evening EM asked for an orange and Hubby began to peel it when EM announced she may not eat it.

Hubby: So I'll peel this, but then you won't eat it.
EM: No Daddy, I'll eat the orange after you kill it.

Beware of those oranges they can be tricky to catch.

oh my word, that map to the sippies is the funniest thing I have read all day. You've got some funny munchkins running around.

That sippy cup map is so funny! My kids are also SO ATTACHED to everything from broken toys to sippy cups. It is a secret mission to get things out of this house.

Happy TTT!
