Our spring break began in notorious fashion; snow, a doctor visit, and strep throat.
It ended on a much brighter, though not much warmer note. Here is a recap:
Only one case of strep throat, though allergies seem to be hitting the rest.
Allergies? It is cold outside, and snow was still blowing around, by the end of the week. It is rather surreal to see snow falling, and hear lawn mowers out, around the neighborhood.
While looking for extra pillows, when staying at my parent's house, I discovered a Star Trek (the original) shirt hanging in one of their closets.
One child lost his video gaming privileges for 3 days. Some like to learn the hard way.
I was reminded, again, not to hit the local crash & dent store at noon, on the first of the month, with my children. EGADS! Some like to learn the hard way. :::cough:::
We celebrated a birthday in the house.
This celebration included a trip to see Disney on Ice. *Note: We saw Princess Wishes. The boys wanted to come, and to their credit they did not complain once about all the "girlie stuff".
Our now 6-year-old said, "This is the best birthday ever".
The week ended with friends. A birthday party for another newly minted 6-year-old. Friday and Saturday night, our house was filled with friends, for the adults and the kids. *Note: It is always amazing when, no matter how cold it is outside, you put a group of kids together and they are very happy to play outside, till dark, and beyond. The parents are also very happy for a much quieter house.
