What was I going to do with three kids? All. Summer. Long.
A schedule baby, a schedule.
As we approach a new summer, this one with Hubby around, we are sticking with our schedule. Each week day we enjoy a different activity, usually a trip out of the house. One morning we will head to the library, another to the children's museum, another to the gym. There is one day when we stay home and clean house, I'm sure that will be the kid's favorite day.
During the afternoon we are usually home, but I still
New this summer, I'm adding some "school time", and maybe a baking afternoon (they love to bake, I hate it when they help. If I set aside time, when I'm mentally prepared, hopefully we can all enjoy this.)
We shall see how the summer goes. The schedule does work well, until about August. About this time everyone is tired of being home and with each other all the time. It's too hot to do much outside. So, I'm looking for ideas to shake things up a bit? If you have any suggestions please leave a comment.
A schedule during the summer works for me and the kids. For more Works for Me Wednesday head over to Kristen's at We Are That Family.

Great thoughts. We try to keep to a bit of a summer schedule too. I find that giving my children some chores and some "school work" keeps me from having to retrain diligence with the school year starts again in the fall.

Last summer I used time blocks which worked pretty well. Block one being getting ready, Block two School, Block three Craft time, etc. Then they could flow through their day but had some direction.
Good for you...gotta keep them busy!
