Tiny Talk Tuesday

I love how kid's describe what they don't understand in ways they do. It opens my eyes to see the ordinary in new and un-ordinary ways by inviting me into their little worlds.

Saturday we were driving to a party when EM pipes up:

"Look at the scratches in the sky."

The scratches were the smoke trails left by airplanes.
-------------------------------

Sunday morning ED was looking for any excuse not to go to church. This morning it was,

"But it looks like it will storm. We can't go to church if it rains."

It was cloudy, and calling for rain, but no reason to miss church. Funny, later that day he didn't think it was too cloudy for basketball practice.

Happy Tiny Talk Tuesday. To read more about the funny verbal antics of children, and sometimes adults, head over to Mary's blog Not Before 7.

I love hearing about how kids see the world! I totally use to try and get out of church as well :-P

"scratches in the sky" - so poetic! If only I could see through kid eyes again... :)

Love the scratches in the sky! That is so creative. Wish we could get some of that innocent creativity back from our own youth!
