The Story of Us

Welcome to Tiny Talk Tuesday, where we share, with the whole world, all the darnedest things our kids have said ... hopefully to no one we know.

This week I'm sharing the story of how Hubby and I met, according to ED.

He was drawing a picture of me, and then Hubby (narrated by ED in that manner.) Notice his interesting choices of skin pigmentation. If you don't know us let me explain. We are both Caucasian. Hubby is of German descent, meaning he has dark hair and dark skin (looks like he has a tan year-round, rather disgusting really.) I am of Irish descent, meaning I'm pale year-round. I don't tan, just burn ... or if I'm really lucky turn a lovely shade of orange in the summer (without the help of self-tanners and that really is disgusting.) Oh, and then there is the blue hand, not sure if I was going through a Michael Jackson, one glove phase or maybe self-tanner gone really wrong?

Me: ED, what are you drawing?

ED: This is when you and Daddy first met. See, Daddy doesn't know what is happening.

Me: (looking at Hubby and trying not to laugh) Do you mean Daddy does not see me?

ED: No, you waved at him, he saw you but he turned away looking surprised.

Me: (by this time not holding back any laughing)

And that, ladies and gentleman, is how Hubby and I met. In fact, there is some truth to it. When we first met neither one of us took notice of the other. So in a sense, neither of us knew what was happening.

Happy Tiny Talk Tuesday. For some more fun travel over to Mary @ Not Before 7

Oh MY GOODNESS - save that forever. That is so funny! I love the story behind it and his perception of how you look!

You really should have that hand looked at :)
