When you are a parent you have two choices; either laugh at the situation, or hide.
(Just don't let the kids see you laugh.)

Not Immune, Just Desensitized
I'm not sure which is scarier, that gas prices are around $3.64 in our neck of the woods or that when I noticed the price I didn't flinch. Just like everyone else I check out the gas prices every day when driving past a gas station, and feel my wallet tighten every time it rises. Last week when I filled the tank it was $3.42 at one station. At some point the price jumped over 20 cents, I'm sure it has been that way for a couple days, but it took till today for me to notice. When will the insanity end, and will I notice.? I'm pretty sure I will care.
