Umpteenth trip to the store
No matter how well I plan in advance, there is always a last minute trip. For one trip we made a last minute trip to purchase luggage. How does someone NOT have luggage available. We didn't.
Kid's stuff, books, toys, DVD's, soft toys, pillows, hats, sunglasses
Benadryl?
Maybe not Benadryl, but there is medication. Tylenol, adults and kids. Claritin, adults and kids. Benadryl, just in case. Thermometer. Band Aids, Neosporin, Bug Spray, Bug Bite Itch Cream, Hydro-cortisone Cream.
However, NO diapers, wipes, pack 'n play, baby toys, portable potty, ....
Clean house
Drives Hubby crazy. Then again, I used to wait until the last minute, like Hubby was walking out the door, keys in hand, and I was pulling out the sweeper.
Passports
Though Canada doesn't mind who visits, returning to our own country is the hassle.
Download tunes onto the Touch
We are learning to NOT leave this to the last minute. Technological advancements do not always make things easier, nor quicker.
Directions, do we know where we are going, and not blindly relying on the GPS
Paint my toenails
Paint EM's toenails
Yes, these are important.
Last minute emails and phone calls
Write (repost from the archives) blog posts
Check batteries to DVD player, remote, L-Max's, flashlights
Batteries are expensive when bought at the gas station convenience store.
Cat taken care of?
Clean out the back of the car
Clean the children
Go to bed at a decent hour
When you are a parent you have two choices; either laugh at the situation, or hide.
(Just don't let the kids see you laugh.)

We are snowed in this weekend. The perfect time to complete, or just start, some projects around the house. Here is a look at my list.

To-Do List
The kiddos are on spring break this week. We are all due for some lazy mornings and lax schedule. Even Hubby gets in on our lazy week. He has off Monday and Friday, and only a half day on Tuesday. It sounds great, except for the 24 hours he will work between Wednesday and Thursday.
Even with all our laziness I need a "to-do" list to get us through the week.
Even with all our laziness I need a "to-do" list to get us through the week.
1. The week will start with the kids cleaning their bedrooms and their bathroom. Bwahahahaha! Mom's idea of a fun spring break.
2. Study the weather. Every spring break and summer vacation I have some grand plan to do a bit of fun homeschooling activity. Here's to maybe.
3. Plant seeds.
4. Get out of the house: Check out the farmer's market, visit the children's museum, visit the library, visit the other farmer's market (they have the best chocolate), go to the gym (to work off all that chocolate.) Just get out of the house.
5. Dye eggs It is Easter after all.
6. Visit family and Easter egg hunts. It is Easter after all.
